SPREAD COMPASSION AND LOVE TO THOSE AROUND YOU TODAY

Use your voice for kindness, your ears for compassion, your hands for charity, your mind for truth, and your heart for love.
Our bodies have amazing and unlimited potential for compassion and unconditional love. When I think about all the good we can create, add, and sustain in this world, I understand how our humanity is a perfect creation of God. Take our hands for instance... they hold the power to help others in life, to plant and grow food, to embrace those who are in need, to hold firmly the hands of those who need guidance and assurance, and so much more.

How can I remain aware of my great potential for compassion and love? How can I work to improve and strengthen it? I think that if we wish to better ourselves in this regard, we have to be understanding that the results of our love and compassion may not always be observable... and that is ok because we know in our hearts that we are helping others in a positive way by showing compassion and unconditional love. We also know that we are spreading love and teaching others to be compassionate and loving people in the process.

This world needs us to be active participants in spreading kindness, compassion, charity, truth, and love. Do so frequently--with your whole heart, mind, body, and soul. The love you put into this world will pour back on you tenfold. As Mother Theresa once said, "I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, but only more love."
Today's Challenge: Spread compassion and love to those around you today.
What are some of the ways you use your voice? Ears? Hands? Mind? Heart?

How can you make compassion and unconditional love an important part of your life?

How can you practice unconditional love, compassion, kindness, charity, and truth today? What effect could it have to increase any of these, even by just a small degree?
Any ordinary favor we do for someone or any compassionate reaching out may seem to be going nowhere at first, but may be planting a seed we can't see right now. Sometimes we need to just do the best we can and then trust in an unfolding we can't design or ordain. Sharon Salzberg
